Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate laser casting or welding machines for cast metal parts according to specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and part-specifications. Position work-pieces correctly in fixtures, align and secure them before laser operation. Monitor laser operations and adjust parameters (power, speed, focus) to meet tolerance and quality requirements. Inspect finished parts using measurement tools and verify against standards; report defects and out-of-spec items. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on laser equipment (optics, lenses, fixtures) to maintain performance. Maintain records of production output, machine settings, material used, scrap, and shift logs. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards (protective equipment, ventilation, materials handling). Collaborate with production, maintenance and quality teams to support process improvement.
