Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

Mid-Level PHP/Laravel Developer

to join our development team. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of professional experience building scalable, robust web applications using the

Laravel framework

. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end logic, ensuring seamless interaction with

MySQL databases

, and designing and consuming

RESTful APIs

. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Development:

Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and applications primarily using

PHP

and

Laravel 8+

.

Database Management:

Write optimized, secure, and complex SQL queries and manage schema changes using Laravel migrations, focusing on high performance with

MySQL

.

API Creation:

Build and maintain high-performance

RESTful APIs

for internal use and integration with external services.

Maintenance & Optimization:

Debug and resolve application issues, optimize existing code for better performance and scalability, and ensure application security.

Collaboration:

Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and design teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Code Quality:

Adhere to best practices in web development, including

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

,

MVC architecture

, and code standards.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of

2-3 years

of hands-on professional development experience with

PHP

and the

Laravel framework

.

Database Expertise:

Proven proficiency in designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational databases, specifically

MySQL

.

PHP Fundamentals:

Strong understanding of core PHP features, including modern syntax, error handling, and security practices.

API Skills:

Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, including familiarity with JSON and API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI).

Version Control:

Solid experience with

Git

(Git Flow, branching, merging, and pull requests).

Testing:

Basic understanding of unit and feature testing (using PHPUnit) is required.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)
