Job responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot:

Identify and resolve hardware and software issues on laptops, such as operating system errors, malware, and malfunctioning components.

Repair and replace parts:

Perform repairs on physical components like screens, keyboards, and motherboards, replacing damaged parts as needed.

Install and configure:

Set up new systems, install software, and configure drivers and settings to ensure optimal performance.

Provide technical support:

Assist customers with technical questions, provide guidance on laptop maintenance, and explain troubleshooting steps.

Maintain and document:

Keep accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Stay updated:

Keep up-to-date with the latest laptop technologies, software, and repair techniques.

Test functionality:

Test all repaired laptops to ensure they are functioning correctly before returning them to the user.
Qualifications

Education:

An associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred. Technical certifications are also a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience in laptop repair and a similar technical support role is beneficial.

Skills:

Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Proficiency with major operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
