The Landscape BIM Modeller will be responsible for creating and managing the landscape elements of 3D models using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools. The role will require expertise in both landscape architecture and BIM to ensure eAective integration with other architectural and engineering disciplines. You will work on creating detailed models that comply with LOD 300 to LOD 500 standards, following international BIM practices and standards (ISO 19650, BS 1192).
Key Responsibilities:
Modelling & Design Integration:
Develop detailed 3D BIM models of landscape elements such as terrain, planting, hardscapes (paving, walkways, walls, etc.), water features, and site furnishings using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
Model site and landscape features to LOD 300 to LOD 500 levels, ensuring that all details are represented accurately from design through to construction.
Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of landscape designs within the overall project BIM environment.
Documentation & Detailing:
Generate 2D drawings, construction documentation, and detailed landscape layouts from 3D models.
Prepare landscape schedules (planting, materials, site furnishings, etc.) and quantities directly from the BIM model.
Produce material take-offs (MTOs) and support the procurement process with accurate model-based information.
Quality Assurance & Coordination:
Review and audit landscape models to ensure compliance with international BIM standards, local codes, and project-specific requirements.
Conduct clash detection and coordination between landscape, architecture, and engineering teams using Navisworks.
Prepare as-built documentation and ensure that any model modifications are tracked and updated in line with project progress.
BIM Standards & Best Practices:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal BIM standards and workflows for landscape design.
Implement ISO 19650, BS 1192, and other industry standards in the creation and management of landscape BIM models.
Key Skills & Software Proficiency:
Autodesk Revit (Landscape) - Advanced proficiency in modelling landscape elements.
AutoCAD - Strong experience in 2D and 3D drafting for landscape architecture.
Navisworks - Clash detection and coordination in BIM models.
BIM 360 / ACC - Collaboration and version control.
Familiarity with Dynamo for Revit for automation (preferred).
Understanding of LOD 300 to 500 modelling and landscape-specific requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS office Suite for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Landscape BIM Modelling, particularly in large scale urban or site development projects.
BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Revit Certified Professional) is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in international landscape projects (e.g., public parks, urban plazas, green infrastructure).
Knowledge of sustainable design practices, water-sensitive urban design, and environmentally conscious landscaping.
Familiarity with BIM tools like SketchUp, Civil 3D, or InfraWorks for terrain modelling (preferred).
