We are seeking a motivated
Landscape Intern
with a strong interest in botany, planting design, and landscape detailing. The intern will support the design and documentation of landscape and rockscape components across projects, working closely with architects, designers, and site teams. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build hands-on experience in professional landscape design practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesLandscape & Planting Design
Assist in developing landscape concepts, planting strategies, and plant palettes based on site conditions and design intent
Support the design of landscape and rockscape elements responding to terrain, climate, and project context
Help integrate softscape and hardscape elements with architectural designs
Drafting & Documentation
Prepare landscape drawings including layout plans, planting plans, sections, details, and schedules
Assist in detailing rockscapes, pathways, water features, and terrain suitable for execution
Ensure drawings clearly convey dimensions, materials, levels, and specifications
Ecological & Technical Support
Apply basic botanical and ecological knowledge to plant selection, soil preparation, drainage, and maintenance considerations
Support sustainable, native, and adaptive planting strategies
Assist site teams with technical clarifications during execution
Coordination & Learning
Coordinate with architectural, interior, and operations teams
Assist in coordination with vendors, nurseries, and contractors
Participate in design reviews, project discussions, and site visits
Research & Skill Development
Research plants, materials, and landscape precedents
Learn innovative landscape, rockscape, and ecological design approaches
Stay updated on landscape trends and sustainable practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Botany, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related field
0-1 year of relevant experience or internship exposure in landscape design or landscaping projects
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic to strong knowledge of plants, planting design, and landscape ecology
Drafting and detailing skills (AutoCAD mandatory)
Understanding of landscape execution and site conditions
Ability to translate design intent into clear, buildable drawings
Good communication and coordination skills
