Role & Responsibilities : Category Growth :- Identify and analyze growth drivers, concern areas, and performance metrics across category, product, store, and seasonal levels.- Take data-driven decisions to optimize category performance and drive business growth.Assortment & Pricing Management :- Define and maintain an assortment strategy that balances product variety, quality, and profitability.- Work closely with vendors to introduce new products and optimize SKU selection.- Execute pricing strategies and promotional plans to optimize profitability while considering market dynamics and customer value perception.Vendor Management :- Identify and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers to enhance the category's offerings.- Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier relationships.- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and promotional support with suppliers.- Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, regulations, and supply chain efficiency.Promotions & Marketing Collaboration :- Work with marketing teams to develop category-specific campaigns and promotions.- Plan and execute seasonal and festival-based promotional strategies to drive category sales.- Measure and analyze promotion effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.Inventory & Supply Chain Management :- Collaborate with supply chain and replenishment teams to maintain optimal stock levels.- Monitor inventory turnover, shelf-life, and wastage reduction strategies.- Ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.Data Analytics & Performance Management :- Track sales performance, margins, and profitability metrics for the category.- Conduct category performance reviews and provide actionable insights.- Utilize customer insights and sales data to refine product offerings and promotions.
