Lead end-to-end land acquisition processes including identification, negotiation, due diligence, and legal formalities.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g.,
The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act, 2013
, Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, etc.)
Manage liaison with
government authorities
, municipal corporations, collectors, SRA, MHADA, and other regulatory bodies.
Provide legal and procedural inputs during project bidding, especially on
land readiness and risk assessment
.
Coordinate with legal teams to ensure title verification, encumbrance checks, mutation, and registration of acquired lands.
Negotiate and settle land prices, compensation, and resettlement packages with landowners and local stakeholders.
Evaluate land parcels for feasibility, zoning, FSI potential, and integration into project design.
Support bid preparation by providing accurate land acquisition timelines, cost estimates, and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of land acquisition laws and urban development regulations in Maharashtra
Proven track record of acquiring land for large-scale infrastructure or real estate projects
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Expertise in dealing with government departments and regulatory bodies
Ability to handle sensitive socio-political environments and resolve conflicts
Good communication, documentation, and reporting abilities
