This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally. Full training will be given to all employees with minimum experience to enable them to progress their skills and earnings.

As a lairage operative you will be responsible for:

Safeguard the well-being of animals, in accordance with the Animal Welfare Policy Move and operate animals, both Cattle and Sheep into holding pens and tagging chutes, keeping the Abattoir supplied with a steady flow of animals causing minimal stress Complete bookwork and computer work Keep the Lairage facilities clean and tidy and ensure area is clean at the end of production To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations To participate in training, in accordance with your personal training plan and then undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production To comply with managers/supervisors' instructions in a timely manner To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required or requested by the manager

Candidate Requirements

Appropriate experience of operating in a similar role WATOK qualified (desirable) Excellent communication and organisational skills Practical approach to problem solving

Hours of Work

45 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Must be flexible with daily start and finishing times
