Job Description

1) Introduction:



a) A lady security guard's job description in Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute primarily includes ward (female & male) protection, providing security through patrolling, monitoring surveillance, and controlling access to protect patients, staff, and visitors. Key duties involve responding to emergencies, de-escalating conflicts, enforcing hospital policies, and managing visitor access, which may sometimes include specific tasks such as assisting female patients or visitors.

2) Core responsibilities



a)

Surveillance and monitoring

: Keep watch over security cameras and alarm systems to monitor for suspicious activity and potential threats.

b)

Patrolling:

Conduct regular patrols of the hospital grounds, corridors, and parking lots to deter crime and ensure safety.

c)

Access control:

Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals, and screen for potential threats.

d)

Emergency response:

Respond to alarms and emergency codes, including fire alarms, and assist in managing evacuations.

e)

Conflict de-escalation:

Use verbal and other skills to manage and de-escalate conflicts between patients, visitors, and staff.

f)

Policy enforcement:

Ensure compliance with hospital safety and security policies and take corrective action when violations occur.

g)

Asset protection:

Protect hospital assets, including equipment, medication, and sensitive patient information, from theft and damage.

h)

Customer service:

Provide a visible and professional presence, offering assistance to visitors and acting as a first point of contact.

i)

Reporting:

Document incidents and write detailed reports following any security events.

3) Specialized duties



a) Maintaining of record of all patients in & out of wards.

b) Knowledge of census of patients in wards at any given time.

c) Assisting with the transfer of high-risk patients.

d) Conducting searches of female visitors.

e) Conducting searches of female labours and HK team.

f) Monitoring areas specifically for women, such as locker rooms or mother's rooms.

g) Providing assistance to victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.

h) Managing visitors discipline and timings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
