Job Summary:

The Hostel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning, discipline, and welfare of the hostel Students. The role involves ensuring safety, hygiene, and comfort within the hostel premises while maintaining a positive and secure living environment for all Students.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day operations of the ladies' hostel, including housekeeping and maintenance. Maintain discipline, order, and adherence to hostel rules among residents. Monitor entry and exit of residents and visitors, ensuring proper records and security protocols. Address and resolve grievances or issues raised by hostel residents in a timely and professional manner. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance. Coordinate with security, housekeeping, and maintenance staff for hostel upkeep. Maintain attendance, leave, and occupancy records of hostel residents. Ensure proper functioning of utilities such as water, electricity, and internet. Arrange and supervise hostel activities or meetings related to welfare and safety. Report any incidents, emergencies, or violations to higher authorities promptly. Support admission and allocation of hostel rooms to new residents. Maintain inventory of hostel furniture, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hostel management, administration, or supervisory role/ Freshers.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues tactfully. Organizational and record-keeping skills. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Record Maintenance). Ability to work in shifts or stay within hostel premises if required.
