Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative

Designer Tailor

specializing in

ladies' and kids' wear

to join our fashion team. The ideal candidate should have experience in cutting, stitching, designing, and finishing garments for women and children across a variety of styles, including ethnic, casual, formal, and party wear. A strong understanding of current fashion trends, fabrics, and tailoring techniques is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and stitch custom garments for women and children, including dresses, suits, frocks, lehengas, kurtis, gowns, etc. Take accurate measurements and make garment patterns accordingly. Recommend appropriate fabrics, cuts, and designs based on client needs and body types. Execute custom design ideas from sketches or client references. Alter, repair, and restyle existing garments as needed. Ensure high-quality stitching, fitting, and finishing of all garments. Stay updated on the latest fashion trends and incorporate them into designs. Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide fashion advice when needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in good condition. Meet production deadlines and manage time effectively.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a ladies and kids wear tailor or designer. Strong skills in stitching, pattern making, draping, and garment construction. Ability to work with different types of fabrics and styles. Creativity and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic sketching or fashion illustration skills (optional but preferred). Ability to handle sewing machines and tailoring equipment. A portfolio of previous work is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

Salary:
