The Psychology Lab Assistant will support research activities in the psychology lab, assisting with the preparation, execution, and documentation of experiments. This role involves working closely with researchers, faculty, and students to maintain the lab's operations, ensure data integrity, and uphold ethical standards in human subject research.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and conducting psychological experiments, including preparing materials and equipment.
Monitor students while conducting experiments and tests.
Collect, enter, and manage data using tools such as Microsoft Office
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and cleaning.
Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, including IRB procedures.
Support faculty and graduate students with administrative and research tasks.
Attend lab meetings and take notes or contribute as required.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Diploma or a Degree in any social science background (preferably Psychology or a related field).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent data handling and record-keeping abilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Statistical software like SPSS, R, or Python is a plus).
