The Lab Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, maintaining lab equipment, ensuring sample integrity, and supporting diagnostic accuracy as per standard medical and safety protocols at Apollo Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, etc.) accurately.
Conduct routine pathology tests including hematology, biochemistry, serology, and microbiology.
Maintain all instruments and ensure daily calibration and quality control.
Record and update test results in the system or manual registers promptly.
Follow safety and hygiene standards for handling specimens and waste disposal.
Assist doctors and patients in the sample collection process when required.
Maintain stock of reagents, consumables, and ensure proper storage.
Coordinate with the diagnostic team for timely reporting and error correction.
Support NABL or internal quality audits and documentation.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
DMLT / BMLT from a recognized institute.
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a diagnostic center, hospital, or clinic.
Freshers
with good knowledge of lab procedures may also apply.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety standards.
Familiar with automated analyzers and sample management.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple samples efficiently.
