Job Description

Position Overview:

Lab Technician will perform diagnostic testing using serological methods, primarily card-based testing, to detect antibodies and antigens in blood and other biological samples. This role is essential in supporting accurate blood typing, transfusion compatibility testing, infectious disease screening, and other serologic assays.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform serology testing including card-based methods Prepare, handle, and label specimens according to lab protocols. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Accurately record and report test results. Follow quality control procedures and troubleshoot inconsistencies. Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and accreditation requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA). Assist in inventory management of reagents and supplies. Participate in continuing education and training as required.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent. Experience in serology testing, particularly card methods, is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
