Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Lab Technician / Phlebotomist

to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples, performing basic laboratory procedures, and ensuring accurate handling of specimens while providing safe and respectful patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages Properly label, store, and transport specimens Prepare patients for blood collection and explain procedures clearly Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment Follow safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols Accurately record patient and test information Assist with routine lab tests as required Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work Environment

Clinical laboratory / hospital / diagnostic center May require standing for long periods Flexible shifts may be required Previous experience as a phlebotomist or lab technician preferred Knowledge of proper blood collection techniques and lab safety standards Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
