Job Summary

The Home Sample Collection Phlebotomist is responsible for visiting patients at their residences to collect blood and other clinical samples safely, accurately, and professionally. The role requires adherence to laboratory protocols, infection control standards, and excellent patient interaction to ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Visit patients' homes as per scheduled appointments for sample collection Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples using standard phlebotomy techniques Collect other specimens as required (urine, stool, sputum, swabs, etc.) Ensure correct patient identification and proper labeling of samples Follow universal precautions and infection control guidelines during sample collection Maintain sample integrity during transportation to the laboratory Handle bio-medical waste disposal as per regulatory guidelines Maintain accurate records, requisition forms, and patient details Communicate clearly with patients regarding preparation instructions and post-collection care Coordinate with laboratory and operations teams for timely sample delivery Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and professionalism during home visits
Required Qualifications

DMLT / BMLT or Certified Phlebotomy Course Minimum 1 year of experience in phlebotomy (home collection experience preferred) Valid identification and basic understanding of lab procedures
Skills & Competencies

Proficient in venipuncture and sample handling Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to reassure and handle patients politely, including elderly and pediatric cases Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and protocols Time management and route planning skills Basic knowledge of documentation and reporting

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
