1.1. Attending the patients for sample collection.
1.2. Checking samples brought by other labs and hospitals.
1.3. Verifying the received samples to ensure that they meet the acceptance criteria relevant for the requested examination.
1.4. Recording the bleeding time clotting time tests done for patients in the respective notebook.
1.5. Dispatching the samples to the respective department every half an hour.
1.6. Dispatching the samples received for urgent report after affixing urgent sticker to the respective department.
1.7. To perform routine maintenance of the equipments in their departments.
1.8. To maintain stocks and stock register for the consumables and supplies.
1.9. Maintaining the not available record notebook.
1.10.Instructing the patients about the pre-requisite condition for the specific tests.
1.11.To inform the chief Phlebotomist regarding the requirement for the material necessary for their department.
1.12.To store the samples as per sample retention time.
1.13.Hand over to night duty staff regarding NA samples and the last sample up to which test has been completed.
1.14.To store all samples of respective departments not processed during night shift.
1.15.To raise the indent in laboratory inventory system as and when required and follow up of supplies to branches.
1.16.To handover duties to the staff of next shift.
1.17.To maintain all records and registers in their department.
Scientific officer
1.1. Check the date wise work list of tests for their department.
1.2. To Centrifuge the samples and separate the serum or plasma.
1.3. Verifying the received samples to ensure that they meet the acceptance criteria relevant for the requested examination.
1.4. To perform the daily maintenance schedule in the Bio-Medical instrument.
1.5. To run the internal and inform the section in-charge regarding the QC results and to take corrective action as per the advice of Operation Supervisor
1.6. To run External Quality Control as per the advice of Operation Supervisor.
1.7. To run the routine samples as per work instruction.
1.8. To repeat the samples with abnormal values as per the instruction given by the section in-charge.
1.9. To make random checks of the results to avoid transcriptional error.
1.10.Reporting any non-conformity to the Operation Supervisor & Head Lab Operations.
1.11.To indent for materials required for their department.
1.12.Storing incoming materials in respective locations.
1.13.Reagents, kits and consumable items Buffer stock maintaining.
1.14.Maintenance of calibration and service records of Bio Medical and supporting equipment's.
1.15.Co-ordination with Service Providers in attending Preventive / Breakdown calls.
1.16.Maintaining all the notebooks, records and register and updating it on daily basis.
1.17.Store the samples, which are not scheduled for the day.
1.18.To store the samples as per sample retention time.
1.19. Hand over to night duty staff regarding NA samples and the last sample up to which test has been completed.
1.20.To store all samples of respective departments not processed during night shift.
1.21.To co-operate for Internal Quality Audits.
1.22.Inform the administrative officer regarding the reason for pending of test results (if any) scheduled for the day in their department.
1.23.To ensure proper handling and safety practices in Lab.
