Job Description

Blood collection:

Safely and efficiently draw blood from patients for diagnostic testing, research, or donation purposes.

Patient care:

Interact with patients to explain the procedure, alleviate anxieties about needles, and ensure their comfort during the process.

Patient identification:

Verify patient identity using appropriate methods before drawing blood to prevent errors.

Specimen handling:

Properly label all collected blood samples and handle them according to laboratory protocols.

Safety and hygiene:

Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and infection.

Record keeping:

Accurately log patient information and test details into a database or patient record system.

Equipment maintenance:

Maintain and organize all necessary equipment and supplies for blood draws.
