Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Collect blood and other biological samples (urine, swabs, etc.) from patients of all age ranges with proper technique and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct home sample collection visits while maintaining punctuality, professionalism, and patient comfort. Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure informed consent before collection. Label, store, and transport samples accurately to maintain specimen integrity. Follow strict hygiene, sterilization, and infection-control guidelines. Maintain patient records, requisition forms, and collection logs accurately. Handle anxious, pediatric, geriatric, or special-needs patients with care and empathy. Ensure proper use and maintenance of phlebotomy equipment. Coordinate with the laboratory and clinic team for timely sample processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Certified or trained in phlebotomy or medical laboratory techniques. Strong understanding of venipuncture, capillary puncture, and safe collection practices. Excellent communication, patient-handling, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently during home visits and manage time efficiently. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and lab safety.
