Job Summary:

Galaxy Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented

Pathology Lab Technician

to support our diagnostic and pathology department. The role involves assisting pathologists and clinicians by preparing, analyzing, and documenting laboratory tests to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clinicians and medical staff to guide appropriate patient management and treatment. Ensure strict adherence to laboratory

quality control

and

safety protocols

. Supervise and train junior laboratory staff and maintain an efficient workflow in the pathology department. Maintain and update laboratory documentation, test reports, and records as per

hospital and NABL standards

. Participate in

multidisciplinary case discussions

and

clinical audits

. Stay updated with the latest medical and diagnostic advancements in pathology. Ensure proper

handling, storage, and disposal

of biological samples and hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Pathology

or

DMLT/MLT

from a recognized institution. Valid registration with the

Medical Council

or appropriate regulatory body.

1-2 years of experience

in a clinical or hospital pathology setup preferred. Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in

histopathology, cytology, and hematology

procedures. Familiarity with

Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)

and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Strong sense of

ethics, confidentiality
