The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing and monitoring food samples, packaging, and storage conditions to ensure compliance with FSSAI, hygiene standards, and Hungersate's internal quality benchmarks. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, prepare, and test food samples (cooked) for quality and safety parameters.
Perform microbiological, chemical, and physical tests as per FSSAI/ISO standards.
Monitor pH, moisture, and temperature levels for meals in storage and during dispatch.
Ensure packaging materials are food-grade compliant.
Document and maintain detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
Flag any non-conformance and coordinate with production/warehouse teams for corrective action.
Assist in implementing food safety SOPs (HACCP, GMP, hygiene practices).
Conduct regular hygiene audits of kitchens, storage, and dispatch units.
Support in vendor/raw material quality checks.
Prepare reports and share findings with the Quality Manager for decision-making.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
2-5 years of lab testing/food quality experience.
Knowledge of FSSAI guidelines and food safety regulations.
Familiarity with microbiological and chemical testing techniques.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic food-tech environment.
