Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the laboratory in conducting routine and specialized tests on soil, aggregates, concrete, and cement, ensuring accurate results in compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on:

Soil: SPT sample handling, moisture content, Atterberg limits, compaction, direct shear, triaxial, permeability, etc.

Aggregates: Gradation, impact value, crushing value, flakiness & elongation index, specific gravity, water absorption.

Concrete & Cement: Slump test, compressive strength, setting time, fineness, cube/cylinder testing.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment.

Ensure testing is carried out as per IS, ASTM or project-specific specifications.

Accurately record, analyze, and report test results.

Assist in the preparation of daily and weekly test reports and maintain proper quality documentation.

Follow laboratory safety protocols and quality management procedures.

Support senior engineers/lab in-charge during audits, inspections, and client visits.

Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of lab and testing areas.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / ITI / B.Sc. (Science/Engineering) with specialization in Civil / Materials preferred.

0-2 years of experience in construction material testing (freshers may also apply).

Knowledge of basic laboratory testing standards (IS, ASTM).

Basic computer skills (MS Excel/Word for report preparation).

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and safety consciousness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
