Key Responsibility :

1. Laboratory Testing & Analysis

Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, and Blood Bank Collect, label, and process blood, urine, tissue, and other clinical samples accurately Ensure correct handling, storage, and disposal of specimens

2. Equipment Handling & Maintenance

Operate laboratory instruments such as analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and blood bank equipment Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment Report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately

3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols Maintain quality control records and ensure accuracy of test results Adhere to biosafety, infection control, and waste management guidelines

4. Blood Bank Operations (For Blood Bank Technicians)

Assist in blood collection, grouping, cross-matching, and compatibility testing Maintain proper storage and inventory of blood and blood components Ensure compliance with blood bank regulations and documentation standards

5. Reporting & Documentation

Record and verify test results accurately in laboratory registers and systems Assist pathologists and doctors by providing timely and accurate reports Maintain patient confidentiality and data security

6. Coordination & Support

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and hospital departments for test requirements Assist during emergency cases and urgent investigations Support laboratory audits, inspections, and accreditation activities

Ideal Candidate Profile

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT) or relevant specialization Experience in hospital or diagnostic laboratory preferred Knowledge of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety standards Attention to detail and accuracy in test processing and reporting Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency duties Basic computer skills and familiarity with lab information systems
