They also collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with safety protocols. The specific duties will depend on the nature of the materials being tested and the type of lab equipment.ResponsibilitiesConducting destructive and non-destructive testing of various materials, parts, and assemblies using advanced equipmentCollecting samples of materials from the field or laboratory, Performing physical, chemical, and electrical tests, and conducting inspections of materials, facilities, and equipment. Interpreting test results, preparing detailed reports, and providing recommendations based on findingsAble to understand ASTM/MIL/FTMS/TSO/ANSI and other standards and execute the test.Understanding the test procedure/std and plan and execute the testKnowledge and hands on experience in handling Universal Testing Machine, Flame test will be added advantage.Awareness about AS9100 standardCertified in Laboratory Management & Internal Audit as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 covering the followingInterpretation of clauses of ISO/IEC 17025:2017Internal audits-Concepts & Procedure Concepts of UOMRoute to NABL accreditationCoordination of TPM, AMC/Preventive maintenance, Calibration, operator walk-around checks of testing machines and ensuring adherence to 5-S standards and housekeeping in test lab area and Maintaining, calibrating, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of testing equipmentBasic understanding about calibration, measurement traceability, Uncertainty measurementSupport all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirementsAssisting in training apprentices and trainees and providing guidance on laboratory proceduresKeeping accurate and detailed records of testing procedures, results, and reportsAssisting in inventory management and purchasing processes.Ready to work in shifts.Work ExperienceQualificationDiploma in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant stream.1-2 years in Material & Mechanical testing/Calibration/ QMS/Audit ManagementProficiency in English, Kannada, Hindi. Able to communicate and ensure strict adherence of company policies, procedures and rulesKey Soft Skills:Knowledge on drawing readingProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and WordGood Interpersonal Skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues/ resolve minor technical problems.Ability to organize and manage workload effectively.Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy in testing and reporting.
