Master's / PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
Role Objective
To lead laboratory-based research and innovation projects by managing a team of chemists and engineers, delivering new products, technologies, and processes within defined timelines and budgets, while ensuring compliance with EHS and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional leadership to the laboratory team and manage day-to-day R&D activities. Track market trends, competitor products, patents, and scientific literature to identify innovation opportunities. Recommend and lead new product, process, and application development projects aligned with business needs. Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables; monitor and document progress. Coordinate technology transfer from lab to pilot plant, production, and other business units as required. Organize laboratory workflows and support pilot plant trials and scale-up activities. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external scientific partners. Ensure adherence to EHS, safety, and environmental guidelines; initiate risk assessments and corrective actions. Manage R&D activities within the allocated budget. Ensure effective documentation, knowledge sharing, and alignment on technical, IP, and commercial aspects.
