Key Responsibilities
Verify
laboratory test orders
for completeness and accuracy before billing
Review and validate
patient demographics
(name, DOB, address, insurance details)
Perform
insurance eligibility and benefits verification
for US payers
Identify missing or incorrect information and resolve discrepancies proactively
Conduct
client calling
(physicians' offices, labs, or facilities) to obtain required details
Ensure compliance with
HIPAA
and US healthcare data privacy standards
Coordinate with billing and AR teams to prevent claim denials
Maintain proper documentation and follow internal SOPs
Meet daily productivity, quality, and TAT benchmarks
Required Skills & Qualifications
1-4 years of experience in
US laboratory billing / medical billing / RCM
Strong understanding of
lab order workflows and pre-billing verification
Knowledge of
patient demography and insurance eligibility processes
Experience working with US insurance portals and payer guidelines
Excellent verbal communication skills for
client calling
Familiarity with
EMR/EHR and laboratory billing systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to work
night shifts (US time zone)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
laboratory billing
(Blood Work, toxicology, pathology, molecular, COVID, etc.)
Exposure to
Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
Understanding of
CPT/HCPCS codes related to lab services
Prior experience in a KPI-driven healthcare environment
