This role will lead our Speciality Laboratory that powers innovation in security printing, sensorial marketing trials, and specialty ink development. The candidate will be responsible for managing formulations, conducting trials, and executing R&D projects end-to-end -- including those related to interactive demo creation for modern trade and marketing activations. The ideal candidate is a disciplined team player with strong printing ink knowledge, hands on printing exposure, good documentation habits, and analytical curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Ink & Application Development:
? Lead ink formulation and development across security inks, scented, invisible, thermochromic, UV, and multi-sensory ink systems
? Ensure compatibility of inks with various substrates and printing processes (Offset, Flexo, Gravure, Screen)
? Adapt and fine-tune formulations for customer-specific or project-specific needs
B. Printing Trials & Sensorial Demonstrations:
? Conduct internal and customer-facing printing trials
? Develop demo cards, interactive formats, and prototype kits for brand activations and client pitches
? Collaborate with the marketing team for visual layering and screen creation for sensorial concepts
C. Lab Operations & Documentation:
? Ensure safety, cleanliness, and discipline in the lab
? Maintain testing logs, formulation records, and standard operating procedures
? Use Google Sheets, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation, reports, and presentations
D. Research & Innovation:
? Keep abreast of global developments in security inks, FMCG packaging, and sensorial printing trends
? Evaluate new raw materials, binders, and additives for performance and compliance
? Support IP, patent research, and formulation protection where applicable
Desired Profile Educational Qualifications:
? B.Tech / M.Sc / B.Sc in Paints, Printing Technology, Chemistry, or allied fields
? Understanding of binders, formulation for inks, processing for Inks, printing techniques and ability to research will be useful.
? Additional certification in digital tools or printing application will be an advantage Experience
? 1-3 years in a Printing Ink Lab, preferably in security inks, specialty coatings, or interactive formats.
? Hands-on knowledge of printing processes, ink formulations, and substrate interactions.
? Freshers who are eager to learn and possess a curious, proactive mindset are welcome to apply.
Skills & Attributes:
? Strong technical grounding in printing ink formulations
? Working exposure to printing presses or demo trials is a must
? Good knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides), MS Office
? Highly disciplined, organized, and analytical
? Must be a team player who collaborates well with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D)
