Role Summary/Purpose
The Lab Integration Engineer - Testing is responsible for creating test systems and platforms as part of a team working in the locomotive simulation lab for Trip Optimizer. In addition, you will:
Essential Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies to meet different lab sim model and remote-control project development requirements.
• Integrate locomotive and control system software and hardware.
• Work within a team environment to facilitate development, validation, and release of quality systems and software.
• Apply embedded software automated test strategies and architectures for application to engineering effort and process efficiency.
• Support P&E requirement for TO SIM lab for different upcoming releases.
• Develop Locomotive Control System applications using LabVIEW
• Investigate and thoroughly communicate system defects.
• Work with global teams to solve problems and develop solutions for efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Science with 2 year of experience in an engineering product development lab environment or Associates Degree with at least 3 years in an engineering product development lab environment or experience with networking.

Desired Characteristics

• 
  Strong electronics background with networking experience.
• LabVIEW, C# experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems systematically and methodically.
• Strong knowledge of validation test execution, requirements traceability, defect reporting, and automation concepts.
• Demonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, & interpersonal skills
• Experience in software and hardware controls for Locomotive Freight Rail industry
