Job Opening: Lab IN charge

Location: Kundanoor
Schedule: Day Shift

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lab IN charge to manage and oversee the laboratory operations at our clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising lab & purchase department, ensuring high-quality testing, managing sample collection and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lab Operations & Quality Control:
Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
Ensure all tests are conducted with accuracy, efficiency, and within turnaround times.
Monitor and maintain quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) measures.
Implement and enforce NABH accreditation standards and other regulatory guidelines.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and waste disposal standards.

2. Sample Collection Services:
Oversee in-clinic and home sample collection processes, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and transportation.
Train and guide lab technicians on safe and effective sample collection techniques.

3. Staff Supervision & Training:
Lead and supervise lab technicians, ensuring proper task delegation and performance monitoring.
Conduct regular training sessions on laboratory best practices, infection control, and new diagnostic techniques.
Ensure lab staff follows proper documentation procedures for test results and reports.

4. Equipment & Inventory Management:
Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated, well-maintained, and in working condition.
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory of reagents, test kits, and consumables.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of lab materials.

5. Patient Interaction & Service Quality:
Ensure that patients receive timely and accurate test reports.
Handle patient queries related to lab investigations and reports.
Maintain a high standard of customer service and patient care.

6. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain records of all tests, reports, and quality control measures.
Prepare monthly performance reports and present them to management.
Ensure all documentation is complete and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

BSc/MSc in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory supervisory role.
Knowledge of NABH accreditation and compliance standards is preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in home sample collection services is a plus.
Proficiency in lab management software and digital documentation

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From ?18,000.00 per month
