Key Responsibilities:
Material Testing:
Conducting tests on raw materials (wood, metals, adhesives, finishes) to assess their physical and chemical properties.
Performing tests for durability, strength, resistance to wear and tear, and environmental factors.
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and accuracy.
Quality Control:
Developing and implementing quality control procedures for materials and finished products.
Analyzing test results and identifying deviations from quality standards.
Documenting and reporting test findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
Monitoring production samples to ensure compliance.
Laboratory Management:
Managing laboratory inventory and supplies.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and laboratory procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of tests, results, and equipment maintenance.
Training and supervising lab technicians.
Standards and Compliance:
