Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Direct and manage daily laboratory operations and technical teams.
Conduct
daily and weekly meetings
with respective managers and teams.
Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
Motivate, guide, and mentor staff to achieve performance and quality goals.
Coordinate with higher management
for operational and strategic matters.
Quality, Compliance & Technical Operations:
Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, NABL accreditation, and MOEFCC guidelines.
Supervise
NABL & MOEFCC audit preparation
and ensure readiness.
Oversee
MOEFCC application
processes.
Review, approve, and issue test reports as per standard methods.
Ensure calibration, maintenance, and selection of laboratory equipment.
Evaluate and approve test procedures and ensure technical accuracy.
Support managers on technical issues
and
evaluate QC records
.
Evaluation of tender scope (technical and commercial)
and ensure alignment with business goals.
Handle
Gujarat monitoring & audits
as required.
Client Interaction & Service Quality:
Ensure service quality and punctuality in deliverables.
Respond to client emails
related to service queries and new inquiries.
Attend meetings with clients and represent the laboratory in external discussions.
Participate in
business development events
and maintain strong client relations.
Handle
government projects, CPCB projects
, and statutory inspections.
Attend visits from
MPCB, CPCB, and other government officers
.
Commercial & Administrative Decisions:
Decision-making for
laboratory purchases
and commercial approvals for new business.
Oversee
accounts and finance
aspects related to the lab.
Support Madhavi Ma'am for payment follow-ups
with clients.
Support managers in
CRM, SRM, and equipment specifications
.
Regularize attendance
for managers and ensure proper HR coordination.
Reporting, Planning & Business Development:
Maintain and present operational reports to management.
Plan and execute
future action plans for business development
.
Recruitment
of qualified laboratory staff and managers.
Provide technical inputs to support marketing and sales teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master's degree in Chemistry / Environmental Science / Microbiology (Ph.D. preferred).
Minimum 10 years' experience in laboratory operations with at least 5 years in leadership.
In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, NABL, MOEFCC, MPCB, CPCB compliance.
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication, client-handling, and problem-solving skills.
Business development and tender evaluation expertise preferred.
Authority:
Approve and release all laboratory reports.
Authorize purchases, recruitments, and commercial decisions.
Directly coordinate with clients, auditors, and government officials.
Represent the laboratory in all strategic, operational, and compliance matters.
