Job Overview:

Austro Carbon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Chemist who will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses, ensuring product quality, and supporting research and development initiatives in a laboratory environment. This role involves using a range of laboratory techniques and equipment to analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. The Lab Chemist will also contribute to process optimization, maintain lab equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

NOTE : Only individuals with hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of activated carbon are eligible to apply

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Chemical Analysis: Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using standard laboratory techniques and equipment. Develop and Optimize Processes: Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory-scale processes for the production of carbon-based materials. Quality Control: Ensure product quality and compliance with established specifications and safety standards. Documentation & Reporting: Record experimental data accurately, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for process improvements based on findings. Maintain Lab Equipment: Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Safety Protocols: Follow strict health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment in the lab. Collaborate with R&D Team: Work closely with other scientists and engineers to support research and development projects.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience:

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience

in a laboratory or industrial setting, with mandatory and exclusive expertise in the Activated Carbon field. Technical Skills: Proficient in laboratory techniques (e.g., titration, spectroscopy, chromatography) and familiar with analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, etc. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, accuracy in data recording, and reporting. Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Safety Mindset: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
