Lab Chemist - Electroplating

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

Lab Chemist

specializing in

electroplating processes

(Gold, Silver, Brass, Copper & Tin, Nickel, etc.). The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of chemical analysis, plating bath maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure high-quality surface finishing and process consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Chemical and Volumetric Analysis

Perform regular chemical and volumetric analysis of plating baths and process solutions. Maintain accurate concentration levels as per process standards.

Hull Cell Test

Conduct and interpret Hull Cell tests for different plating baths to evaluate solution performance and identify issues.

Troubleshooting

Identify and resolve plating-related issues such as burning, pitting, or uneven coating. Support production teams in resolving chemical and bath-related problems.

Water Quality Monitoring

Regularly check and maintain

pH levels

,

TDS

, and other water quality parameters used in electroplating processes.

Bath Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Monitor plating bath health and initiate corrective actions when required. Plan and execute

preventive maintenance

schedules for all chemical baths and related equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of chemical analyses, test results, and bath history logs. Prepare reports on bath performance, solution life, and chemical consumption.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum

3-5 years' experience

in

electroplating laboratory

(gold, silver, nickel, brass preferred). Strong knowledge of

electroplating chemistry

and

analytical techniques

. Familiar with

Hull Cell testing, titration methods, and bath maintenance procedures

. Good understanding of

safety and environmental compliance

in plating operations. Proficient in maintaining documentation and lab reports. Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
