Laboratory Chemist Qualifications & Skills

PhD in chemistry or a related field Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory setting Experience with mass spectrometry, chromatography, or other advanced scientific techniques Ability to work with hazardous materials and in a regulated environment Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field Several years of experience working as a laboratory chemist Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills
