Role Overview:

The Lab Assistant will support the testing, quality assurance of road marking

paints including thermoplastic, water-based, and solvent-based systems and its raw

materials. This role involves routine lab operations, sample preparation, physical and

chemical testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with national and

international standards (MoRT&H, ASTM, BIS, ISO).

KRAs:

- Sample Preparation & Testing:

o Prepare lab-scale batches of road marking paints and raw materials.

o Conduct tests for softening point, luminance, density, drying time, heat

stability, flow resistance, viscosity and others.

- Quality Control:

o Lead and perform the incoming raw material inspection and batch-wise

quality checks.

o Maintain accurate records of test results and deviations.

o Support production teams with on-the-spot lab validations.

- Compliance & Documentation:

o Ensure all tests align with MoRT&H, ASTM, BIS & other relevant standards.

o Maintain lab notebooks, calibration logs, and test certificates.

o Assist in preparing technical reports and compliance documentation.

- Lab Maintenance:

o Calibrate and maintain lab equipment & tools.

o Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals and samples.

o Follow all safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
