Prepare samples of auto parts (metallic/non-metallic) as per testing standards.
Label, document, and store test samples properly to avoid mix-ups or contamination.

Conducting Mechanical Tests
Perform basic mechanical tests such as:
Hardness testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)
Tensile strength tests
Impact testing
Fatigue testing (if applicable)
Ensure adherence to relevant standards (ASTM, IS, ISO).

Dimensional & Visual Inspection
Use precision instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) for measuring components.
Conduct visual inspection for defects like cracks, burrs, misalignment, etc.
4.
Documentation & Reporting
Record test results accurately in prescribed formats.
Maintain test logs, calibration records, and daily activity sheets.
Assist in preparation of inspection reports and quality documentation.
5.
Calibration and Equipment Maintenance
Assist in periodic calibration of lab instruments and test rigs.
Report malfunctioning equipment and assist in basic troubleshooting or maintenance.
6.
Support to Quality & Production Teams
Provide timely test reports to the Quality Control team for approval of batches.
Assist production in identifying quality issues through testing support.
7.
Compliance & Safety
Follow all lab safety protocols and wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Maintain cleanliness and order in the lab.
Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, or other applicable industry standards.
8.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in training and development activities.
Suggest improvements in testing processes or sample handling.
