Job Description

Lab Assistant supports biological /chemical experiments, research, and classroom activities by preparing specimens, maintaining equipment, and ensuring laboratory cleanliness. They assist teachers, researchers, or students with experiments, manage lab records, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of biological processes. Ideal for candidates passionate about laboratory work and scientific experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare biological specimens and samples for experiments and research activities. Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and instruments in working condition. Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of glassware and laboratory surfaces. Assist in setting up and conducting biology lab experiments. Record and organize experiment results accurately in lab logs. Follow safety procedures and handle chemicals with proper precautions. Manage lab inventory, supplies, and reorder when necessary. Support teachers and students during laboratory demonstrations and activities.

Skill & Experience

Strong understanding of biological concepts, anatomy, and laboratory processes. Skilled in operating microscopes, centrifuges, and basic lab instruments. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and recording ability. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Proficient in handling biological specimens and preparing solutions accurately. Good communication skills for assisting teachers, students, and researchers effectively.
