Lab Assistant - School

The Lab Assistant will support daily laboratory operations by preparing materials for practical classes, assisting students and teachers during experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting experiments, tests, and demonstrations as per school laboratory protocols. Prepare, arrange, and label materials, specimens, and chemicals for practical classes. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment. Record, analyze, and document data or inventory logs accurately. Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and school guidelines. Support inventory management of lab supplies and materials. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory. Assist teachers during practical sessions and guide students on lab safety. Dispose of waste materials following proper laboratory safety procedures.
Qualifications

Master's degree in any science discipline OR Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. Prior experience as a Lab Assistant or in a school/college laboratory role is preferred. Experienced lab assistants with a Bachelor's degree will also be considered. Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field preferred.
Skills & Competencies

Good understanding of basic laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety practices. Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to assist students and follow instructions from teachers. Proficiency in handling lab instruments and basic computer applications.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
