Title: Lab Assistant - Civil Engineering Department

Are you passionate on routine laboratory tests on construction materials like soil, concrete, and asphalt to ensure quality and safety standards? Do you have hands-on experience and a knack for guiding practical sessions? Join our team as a Lab Assistant in the Civil Engineering Department!

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining, cleaning, and calibrating laboratory instruments and equipment, such as those used for testing soil, concrete, and asphalt.

- Assisting students and faculty in conducting lab experiments and project activities as per the established timetable.

- Preparing and processing various construction material samples for testing and accurately performing tests in accordance with applicable industry standards.

- Maintaining meticulous laboratory records, including equipment logbooks, test results, safety checklists, and inventory of supplies. Ensuring that safe practices and procedures are maintained in the lab environment, monitoring for hazardous conditions, and handling chemical spills or waste disposal appropriately.

- Providing technical direction and support to students regarding the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications:

- Minimum ITI certificate with at least 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.

- Diploma degree in CE

- Proficiency in handling various constructional machines and their operations.

- Ability to effectively conduct practical classes and workshops.

- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

- Dedication to maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.

Salary Range: Typical salary offered between 9,000/- to 11,000/- per month; However, for particularly suitable candidate with experience and qualifications a better negotiation is possible.
