The L6 Supervisor will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of the
(Coding_WWS),
(Clinical Documentation_WWS)
, and
Medical Record Technician
(MRT_WWS)
teams. This role involves overseeing end-to-end processes, ensuring quality and compliance, and driving team performance to meet organizational goals. The Supervisor will serve as a key link between the management and operations team, focusing on operational excellence, process optimization, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:
Manage daily operations across medical coding, clinical documentation, and medical records processing teams.
Ensure adherence to established SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards.
Allocate resources effectively to balance workload across functions.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to resolve operational issues promptly.

Quality & Compliance:
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other applicable coding guidelines.
Monitor clinical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee proper management and confidentiality of medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Conduct quality audits and implement corrective action plans where needed.

Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational and professional growth.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate skill-building training sessions.
Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.

Process Improvement:
Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Standardize processes across the three functional teams for efficiency.
Implement automation or technology enhancements where feasible.

Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and quality reports for management review.
Track performance metrics and trends to develop action plans for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or a related field (preferred).
4-6 years of relevant experience in medical coding, clinical documentation, or medical records management, with at least 2 years in a team handling role.
Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, CCA, etc.) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and healthcare management software.
