Role Summary:
As an L3 Java Support Lead, you will act as the escalation point for critical production incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and contribute to code changes for application stability, performance, and functional enhancements. You will also
mentor a team of 3-8 members
to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Support (L3)
Act as the escalation point for application-related incidents and problems
Perform in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
Monitor application health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools
Coordinate with L1/L2 support teams to resolve production issues within SLAs
Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation for operational excellence
L3 Development & Enhancements
Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement changes in Java applications
Develop, test, and deploy bug fixes, performance optimizations, and minor enhancements
Collaborate with core development teams to push strategic changes into the main codebase
Required Skills & Experience:
6-9 years in application support or development within enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in
Java
Solid understanding of
SQL
and database fundamentals
Experience with
Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
(Shell/Bash/Python)
Working knowledge of
ITIL framework

Strong analytical skills, ability to handle pressure in production-critical environments
Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
