Job Description

We are looking for an experienced L3 Network Security Engineer (F5 WAF Specialist) to design, implement, and support advanced web application and network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with F5 Advanced WAF / ASM, L7 security policies, and DDoS mitigation, along with operational experience in Checkpoint or Palo Alto firewalls and SIEM platforms for threat visibility and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP ASM / Advanced WAF and F5 LTM for high-availability environments. Design and optimize security policies, including OWASP Top 10 protections, Bot Defense, Brute Force Protection, DoS Profiles, and Data Guard. Manage SSL/TLS offloading, certificate management, and traffic encryption policies. Troubleshoot and resolve L3 security incidents, including WAF and DDoS events. Integrate WAF with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) for log correlation, incident detection, and compliance reporting. Maintain and secure firewall infrastructure using Checkpoint or Palo Alto, ensuring optimal traffic flow and rule hygiene. Work closely with SOC/NOC teams for security event analysis and mitigation. Participate in security audits, patching, and change management. Prepare technical documentation, implementation guides, and root cause analysis (RCA) reports for incidents.
Technical Skills Required:

F5 BIG-IP LTM, ASM / Advanced WAF, DNS, AFM - Deployment, policy tuning, troubleshooting. Strong understanding of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, SSL Handshake, Load Balancing, and Application Delivery concepts. Experience with Checkpoint or Palo Alto firewall management and configuration. Familiarity with DDoS protection tools (F5 Silverline, Arbor, Radware, or Akamai). Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic Stack. Knowledge of API security, Reverse Proxy, and Bot management solutions. Understanding of vulnerability management, incident response, and security hardening.
Certifications (Mandatory):

? F5 Certified (at least one): F5 201 - TMOS Administrator F5 303 / 304 - ASM / Advanced WAF Specialist (preferred) ? DDoS / Security Certification: F5 Silverline / Arbor / equivalent certification OR recognized industry certifications such as CEH, CCSE (Checkpoint), or PCNSE (Palo Alto)
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Hands-on experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) for security policy management. Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
