Job Description

Responsibilities




Design, deployment, and support for storage, backup, and networking devices systems




Investigate network issues and bring to resolution within stated SLA parameters




Provide root cause analysis to support team and customers upon request




Responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting changes to various infrastructure systems




Review and assist with backup and recovery planning and testing




Collaboration with various teams supporting complex environments to troubleshoot issues




Escalation point for support engineers




Interact with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues




Periodic recommendations to clients to optimize performance, availability, and resource consumption




Participate in training and mentoring of junior team members




Developing and maintaining systems architecture and common procedure documentation




Required Skill




Education Associate s or Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field and or equivalent work experience




CompTIA Aplus, CompTIA Network ,certifications




5plus years of experience in administration, support, design, and implementation of




Network infrastructure




Experience with Routing BGP, RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP




Experience with Switching VLANs, Capacity Planning




Experience with WAN (MPLS, VPN)




Familiarity with VOIP Wireless Deployments




2 to 5 years of support-level experience with




SAN technologies such as EMC, Nimble, NetApp, and HPE




Backup technologies such as Veeam, Barracuda, eVault, Veritas, BackupExec, and Commvault




VMware virtualization technology




Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills




Excellent written and oral communications skills




Experience with service delivery in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment




Self-starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross functional team environments




Nice to Have Skills




Experience with AWS Route 53, Azure Traffic Manager and Global availability strategies




Experience with Azure ExpressRoute and/or AWS Direct Connect




Infosec experience




Cisco or related network certifications




VMware certifications




ITIL v4 certification
