The Role
Your Role and Responsibilities :

• 
  Perform troubleshooting and defect analysis of LAN/WAN/ISDN/MPLS/firewall/VPN issues.
• 
  Document network problems and resolutions for future reference into the Wiki/KB platform of NPCI.
• 
  The incident should be closed within TAT.
• 
  Proactively monitor and ensure network availability, performance and network security.
• 
  Log, track and take ownership of network/connectivity issues and resolve issues to ensure uptime and meet the agreed SLA.
• 
  Monitor and ensure network device connectivity across DC and MPLS Networks as per the pre-defined SLA.
• 
  Working knowledge of common network monitoring tools and network analyzers(ex. Tcpdump, tshark, Wireshark etc.)

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :

• 
  A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, NAT, IP addressing and TCP/IP Network (Skills).
• 
  A practical level of experience implementing and administrating TCP/IP-based network.
• 
  Hands-on experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN and MPLS.
• 
  Troubleshooting focused on determining network vs Application/System issues and patterned vs. non-repeating problems.
• 
  Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
