This includes a thorough understanding of VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL/TLS), firewall policies, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network architectures. Networking Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (such as OSPF and BGP), switching, VLANs, and subnetting. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices is crucial for successful Fortinet design and deployment. Designing Secure Architectures: Demonstrate the ability to design secure network architectures using Fortinet products. This involves determining the placement of Fortinet appliances within the network, establishing security zones, and defining firewall policies that align with industry best practices and compliance requirements. Deployment and Configuration Skills: Have hands-on experience with deploying and configuring Fortinet solutions in various environments. This includes setting up firewalls, configuring VPN tunnels, implementing IPS/IDS policies, and integrating Fortinet appliances with other security tools or systems. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Possess strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to Fortinet deployments.
