Job Description


The Demographics Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the RFI pipeline. They will oversee a team of Specialists responsible for the timely review of RFI ensuring streamlined client outreach and quality risk based decisions where required and ownership of follow-up actions where required (i.e. manual payments). The Team Lead will partner with key stakeholders in Client List Screening, Sanctions and across the business to ensure the quality of work is of a high standard and delivered within our SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Demographics pipeline of incoming cases, ensuring prioritisation and timely execution.
  • Act as the Demographics Team referral point and providing SME knowledge to both your team and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with management for new joiner training plans and ongoing knowledge sharing to the Demographics Team, driven by stakeholder feedback and promoting best practice.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance that can be adaptable to both new hires and experienced Demographics Specialists as needs are identified.
  • Manage performance of Demographics Specialists, provide clear performance targets, conduct performance reviews and develop clear career and personal development trends.
  • Partner with Senior Management to ensure KPI\'s are in line with business requirements, monitor metrics reporting, highlight concerns, propose resolution and track progress.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders, proactively build and maintain relationships across the firm.

Qualifications
  • 4-5 years Banking/Financial experience - UK Banking KYC/FinCrime experience preferred
  • Prior management/supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership ability
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to instill this quality in others
  • Demonstrate an Independent decision-making ability, and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity on how to draft strong, concise and robust reports
  • Maintains a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize/multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadline
