Job Description


The Ops Sup Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes. Jobs Description:

  • Leader in India Core operations Team, who supervises Card operations - activities like Interchange, Settlement and reconciliation and KYC Operations for the bank
  • Proactively identify, measure, and analyze operational risks in the Card operations and KYC Space
  • Drives the effort to ensure that unit activities are managed in full compliance with the Global Operational Risk Framework, Policy, and Standards
  • Assume responsibility to keep the operations platforms always "Audit prepared" status to ensure that Controls are at the heart of processes and procedures, and are robustly achieved in the operational areas responsible.
  • Review KPI and other metrics of team managed and assume responsibility for the service excellence/operational efficiency of these operational units.
  • Be responsible for Change Control of the delivery units including ensuring robustness of Operational Procedure manuals, resource management & Capacity planning.
  • Develop and leverage strong working relationships across the Product, Compliance, Collections and Risk.
  • Propose process improvements within functions responsible to achieve best-in-class performance levels in operational efficiency and drive up customer satisfaction levels.
  • Identify areas of process re-engineering to be in line with changing regulatory requirements
  • To champion Digital Strategy of the business.
  • Making a significant contribution towards employee goals within the overall Operations team, pioneering and leading employee initiatives.
  • Provision of SME assistance and support on Cards and KYC, along with general Operations management support.
  • Direct oversight of process work carried out by Operations sites that contribute to the end-to-end processes, including (but not limited to) engaging in discussions relating to resourcing, procedural effectiveness and controls
  • Drive Robotic Process Automation Program
  • Manage cross functional stakeholders across Tech, Product, Business, Risk, Compliance, Legal
  • Manage external stakeholders across Banks, processors and Networks
  • Manage financial and transaction reconciliation for accounts across operating units

Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-depth evaluation of basic operations and business processes, family procedures, and industry standards for business supported to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Influence decisions through advice and counsel as well as facilitate services to others in area
  • Serve as an analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team on cross function operational processes and project deliverables
  • Liaises with multiple teams across the Operations department
  • Coordinate and contribute to initiatives that support the goals of the Operations function and overall business
  • Assume informal and formal leadership role within team as well as coach and train new recruits
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Lead the migration project for movement of process and portfolio to Axis Bank
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in managing large and complex operations functions
  • Master or graduate
  • MS Office
  • Knowledge of Banking processes like payment process
Skills:
  • Ability to work against tight timelines and multi-task
  • Self-motivated and demonstrable high level of drive, energy and initiative
  • Understanding of operational risk and an ability to develop solutions mitigating the same
  • People Management experience
  • Familiarity with and/or direct project management
