Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the stewarding team.
Ensure all kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean, sanitized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
Monitor the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.
Schedule and allocate stewarding staff as per business needs.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dishwashing areas.
Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices are followed.
Train and motivate stewarding staff to uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Coordinate with the culinary and service team for smooth operations during peak hours and events.
Maintain records related to cleaning schedules, breakages, and maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Stewarding Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations (HACCP or equivalent).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
