Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food prep, cooking, plating, and packaging.
Ensure all dishes and products are prepared to company standards and recipes, maintaining taste, quality, and presentation.
Manage kitchen staff schedules, allocate daily duties, and ensure smooth shift operations.
Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen and food production areas in compliance with FSSAI and internal standards.
Check the freshness and proper storage of ingredients, especially perishable items.
Work closely with the procurement/store team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and avoid wastage.
Supervise the preparation of large quantities of sweets and savouries during festivals or high-demand periods.
Conduct training for junior staff on food safety, hygiene, and standard procedures.
Handle kitchen equipment and ensure regular maintenance and cleaning schedules are followed.
Support the head chef and operations team in implementing new dishes, menus, and production processes.
Maintain daily production and wastage logs, and report issues to management promptly.
