The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and hygiene standards, support kitchen staff, and maintain smooth workflow during service hours. This role requires strong leadership, time management, and culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff during preparation and service.
Ensure food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation meet Vishala Cafe standards.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in the kitchen according to FSSAI guidelines.
Manage inventory, stock rotation, and daily requisitions of ingredients and supplies.
Assist in menu planning, cost control, and recipe standardization.
Train and guide new kitchen staff on procedures, safety, and equipment usage.
Monitor food preparation times to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth order flow.
Handle kitchen equipment maintenance and report issues promptly.
Enforce compliance with safety protocols and kitchen standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
2-5 years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Chef de Partie, or similar role.
Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety.
Leadership and team-management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (optional).
Experience in cafe, casual dining, or traditional cuisine establishments.
